OUR VALUES

Communities: Our Extended Family

Cultivating a culture that lies within the diversity of our employees.

Community Outreach

Explorer considers the communities in which it operates a part of the extended family. Nurturing our communities benefits everyone—not only now but for generations.

Throughout our history, we’ve supported a significant number of nonprofit organizations. Our main focus is to serve our local communities through involvement in the United Way. We also support 501c3s in four primary areas:

  • Health and Human Wellness
  • STEM and Education
  • Family and Youth
  • Diversity and Inclusion

It’s not just about giving money. Being a valued community partner also means rolling up our sleeves to get to know our neighbors, their needs and how we can work together to build a better future. Whether assisting science students who needed help going to a state competition, donating money to a center that provides educational opportunities for children to learn about the environment or aiding conservation efforts in south Texas, we’re active contributors in our communities.

Partner Agency Program

We believe our financial support and volunteer services make the biggest impact when we invest larger gifts in select organizations. Our “Partner Agency” giving program allows us to build longer-term partnerships and help meet the needs within our giving priorities in a more meaningful way.

In this new giving program, partner agencies are selected for a three-year rotating partnership through which we contribute

  • our largest gift in year one (up to $20,000)
  • year-two gift (up to $10,000)
  • and year-three gift (up to $5,000)

Our Community Outreach committee selects partner agencies through an online application process available August 30 through September 30. Partner agencies will be notified on or before Friday, October 29.
