Identifying Pipelines Near Your Home or Business

Residents and business owners along the pipeline right-of-way are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the pipeline's path. It’s easy to spot - just look for the black, yellow and white line markers, located along the pipeline. Markers identify the general location of the pipeline and list the specific products transported, the operator’s name and the emergency contact number.
In addition, the federal government provides access to maps that show the approximate location of transmission pipelines in your community. To view maps visit the online National Pipeline Mapping System.

To identify the exact location of a pipeline before digging or excavating on your property, call 811 to reach the One-Call Center near you.
